Continuous Improvement – Management Systems Increasingly Refined

Quality is the cornerstone of enterprise development. In 2022, the company successfully completed its annual system re-certification reviews, passing in a single attempt the annual audits for CNEX, ISO9000, ISO14001, ISO45001, CCC, DNV, ATEX, and other management systems.

CZ Star – “Seven-Star Craftsman” and “Chief Quality Officer”

On May 26, 2022, at the Xiangjiadan Area (Qixing Sub-district) mass organization commendation meeting, Dong Jin, a structural engineer in the Technical Department of CZ Electric Co., Ltd., was honored with the title of inaugural “Seven-Star Craftsman” outstanding individual.

The launch ceremony for Jiaxing City’s 2022 “Quality Month” and the Quality Service into Enterprises event was held in Pinghu on September 6. The event commended 11 recipients of Jiaxing City’s inaugural Outstanding Chief Quality Officer award, and Wei Tanlin, Executive Vice President of CZ, was among those honored.

Innovation Track – Establishment of the Shenzhen R&D Center

On March 31, 2022, the CZ Shenzhen R&D Center was officially inaugurated. The Shenzhen R&D Center will focus on developing intelligent explosion-proof electrical products and new portable and mobile lighting products, in order to better align with market development trends and address market needs.

Since its founding, CZ has consistently maintained high investment in research and development, adhering to independent innovation and mastering core technologies. The opening of the new R&D center marks a new phase in the company’s technological innovation. Looking ahead, the company hopes to leverage Shenzhen’s talent advantages and technology resources to rapidly strengthen its R&D capabilities in digitalization, intelligence, software, and other smart technologies and products, and to work in synergy with the Jiaxing headquarters to provide users worldwide with safer, more reliable, and smarter products and services.

Innovation-Driven – New Product Development

In 2022, CZ remained customer-centric and kept pace with the trend of large-scale application of new intelligent technologies in the explosion-proof industry. The company undertook intelligent upgrades and development of its products, completing the design, development, and finalization of a series of explosion-proof intelligent products including the CZ6474, CZ6365, and CZ15.

In the same year, the company also completed the design, development, and finalization of nine explosion-proof portable lighting products, including the CZ8221N, CZ8221R, and CZ8231N, all of which passed DNV international intrinsically safe explosion-proof certification testing.

All nine portable explosion-proof products adopt the intrinsically safe explosion-proof type, ensuring safety and reliability. They are suitable for use in Class I, Class II Zone 0 (alkaline battery models), Zone 1, and Zone 2, as well as Class III Zone 20 (alkaline battery models), Zone 21, and Zone 22 explosive atmospheres. Except for the CZ8251R (designed for low temperatures down to -20°C), all other portable products are suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to +55°C.

Enriching Activities – Union-Organized Competitions and Team-Building Events

June 2022 marked the 21st National “Work Safety Month.” To continually enhance employees’ awareness of work safety and self-protection capabilities, and to enrich employee life, the company’s union and confidentiality office jointly organized the 2022 Annual Knowledge Competition. The competition covered topics including information security, work safety, explosion-proof products, as well as history, geography, sports, music, and current events.

In addition, to broaden the horizons of correspondents, strengthen inter-team communication, and foster teamwork and writing enthusiasm, the company also organized a field excursion for correspondents. The participants visited farmlands and orchards, immersing themselves in nature — picking blueberries in the fields to find creative inspiration, and discovering the rewards of perseverance through a hands-on barbecue in the orchard.

Validation of Results – New Product Appraisal

After the “CZ14 Series Emergency Lighting Power System” project was approved as a provincial-level new industrial product in 2021, the company’s R&D team worked through nearly a year of technical challenges and successfully passed the provincial-level new industrial product and technology expert on-site review and acceptance in August 2022. The on-site experts unanimously agreed that the project demonstrates innovation in structure and control systems, and represents a leading level among similar domestic products.

Talent-Driven Enterprise – Building a Learning Organization

Employees are a company’s greatest asset. To better help all employees improve their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies, and to more effectively carry out mentoring and knowledge-sharing initiatives, in 2022 the company focused on building and cultivating an internal trainer team. This team was organized with the Executive Vice President as class director, the Sales Vice President as deputy class director, and heads and key personnel of relevant departments as the core members. Since the internal trainer program launched on February 26, the company conducted 56 training sessions throughout 2022, training a total of 1,552 employees. The company not only trains its own staff but also actively empowers distributors and partners, implementing a talent-driven enterprise strategy and deepening the initiative to build a learning organization.

Brand Enhancement – Recognized as a Zhejiang Province Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise

In 2022, the Provincial Market Supervision Administration announced the latest list of “Zhejiang Province Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprises.” The company was honored with the title of “Zhejiang Province Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise.” Intellectual property is the core competitive advantage of enterprise development. Since its founding, the company has consistently regarded R&D innovation as its core driver of development, pursuing the path of building a strong enterprise through independent intellectual property rights. The company has two major R&D centers in China and maintains close collaboration with domestic and overseas laboratories, having established an internationally standardized testing center.

Safeguarding Success – Engineering Project Cases

In 2022, CZ products continued to support the safety of engineering projects at home and abroad, providing high-quality explosion-proof electrical safety solutions to multiple clients including the Bozhong 29-6 Oilfield Development Project, the Qinshan Nuclear Power Station project, the BASF Chemical project, the Wacker Chemie project, the CNPC Convention project in Chad, the Amur Gas Chemical Complex project in Russia, and the Pertamina Balikpapan project in Indonesia.
