Explosion-Proof LED Marking Light

An explosion proof LED marker light is specifically designed for use in hazardous areas. They are used to illuminate paint spray booths, oil refineries, grain processing plants, tank farms and other areas where flammable gases or ignitable fibres are present in the atmosphere.
Hazardous location lighting is categorised according to the National Electric Code (NEC). These luminaires have been tested by a nationally recognised testing laboratory to be safe in these environments.
Product Description
The explosion proof LED marker light is suitable for oil and gas, chemical, power station, painting and other areas with high humidity, high temperature and dusty environments. The housing is made from glass fibre reinforced polyester and the transparent diffuser is polycarbonate. The IP seal between the body and diffuser is compressed by a latch.
LED explosion proof luminaires are widely used in hazardous areas such as marine, chemical, oil & gas, mining, pharmaceutical and paint industries. They are energy saving, with long life, flexible light distribution, excellent heat dissipation and more.
Class 1 Division 1, ATEX, ETL and UL listed. These LED luminaires save 50% - 70% energy and have virtually no heat or conversion losses, extending the life of the lighting system.
Worksite Lighting, a leading manufacturer of portable construction site luminaires and power distribution units, now offers 2' and 4' explosion proof portable LED luminaires. These Class 1 Div 1 LED luminaires provide brighter output with lower operating and maintenance costs compared to fluorescent and metal halide lighting solutions.
Product Application
The product application of explosion-proof LED marker light is hazardous areas such as chemical plant, offshore platform, oil refinery, gas station, power generation, etc. It consists of a glass fibre reinforced polyester housing and a transparent polycarbonate cover.
The housing and transparent cover are sealed with a latching device to provide an IP seal. In addition, an optional distance switch is available to automatically cut off power when the transparent cover is opened.
Compared to traditional lighting, explosion proof LED luminaires use 90% less energy and emit less heat, saving energy costs for organisations in hazardous locations.
This is good for both the environment and the workers. The luminaires are capable of providing sufficient light in hazardous areas to allow workers to concentrate on their work.
The luminaires can also improve the performance and productivity of workers in hazardous areas. This is because they enable workers to see better and distinguish between incoming materials. This can help prevent accidents and keep the workplace safe.
Product Features
Designed for Class II, Division 1 & 2, Groups E, F, G hazardous locations, this new low-profile explosion-proof LED marker light from Larson Electronics LLC produces 13,520 lumens of powerful, energy-efficient illumination. It features a compact design, terminal strips for wiring, and comes with spray booth, ATEX and IECEx certifications, making it ideal for paint booths, oil rigs, offshore applications, petrochemical, manufacturing, chemical storage and more.
The product also features a mast top slip fit bracket for use on 2" OD pipes or bull horns. The adjustable 3/8" aluminium swivel bracket allows over 270 degrees of adjustment and is attached to a slip fit yoke for easy installation.
Traditional explosion proof lights are designed to expose the bulb, contacts, wiring and switches to the outside air. The heat and spark from a loose contact or movement of the switch can cause an explosion within the internal housing.
Product Warranty
The LED is a low power light source providing 60W of explosion proof output at 6700 lumens. The LED uses a Cree LED chip and Meanwell driver from Taiwan.
The luminaire is housed in a durable aluminium casing that is corrosion and dust resistant. It is also flameproof and waterproof.
It can be mounted on portable tripods, ceilings, walls and brackets. It has a long battery life and comes with an energy-saving LED edge-lit emergency light, which keeps the red or green "EXIT" legend bright in the event of a power failure.
Best of all, this LED is ETL certified for hazardous locations. It combines a number of safety features outlined in the NEC (National Electrical Code) and can be used to illuminate any hazardous area you need to illuminate in your business or industrial site. It is the safest and most efficient way to light your space. Get yours today!
